How was everyone’s summer?? Mine/Ours just recently came to an “end” with the kiddos returning back to school. While I’m looking forward to them having a more normal schedule again… I’m not looking forward to morning drop offs, or homework 😅
While in the midst of working, getting kids back on schdules and what not. I actually got the bug to pick my hooks back up!
I’ve been seeing a lot of posts across socials about Hexi-Cardis and how they with they can be made more than just using the Granny Stitch…
I don’t know if you know this… BUT YOU CAN!
You can use just about any “Granny Square” pattern to make a Hexi-Cardi!
All it takes is a little bit of math to adjust the stitch multiple for the pattern you’re using from 4 corners to 6 corners.
Also depending on the pattern, how to adjust to be working from the corners (though it should still work without being in the corners directly)
Follow my example here! I am currently working up the Phoenix pattern from Hooked on Sunshine…
And all I’ve really changed is the starting stitches from 12Dc to 18Dc. Then once I get to the point that corners begin, made sure to always be starting/ending in the corners simply by knowing where the corners are in the directions and shifting where I start following the directions for the next round from there.
